SHOWALTER--George Thomas Showalter was born in Virginia, May 4, 1848, and died January 28, 1921, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Julia Miller, at Wakita, Oklahoma, aged 72 years, 8 months and 24 days.

He leaves to mourn a wife, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 35 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. The sons are: Noah, John, and Wallace Showalter, daughters, Mrs. Josie Finfrock, Mrs. Julia Miller and Mrs. Dollie Catron.

He was converted during his young married life, under the Baptist faith, and remained so to the end, and died reconciled, saying, "They have my house about done, for I can see the lights in my house not made with hands; oh, come and go with me; but if you can't go with me all the way now, come and go as far as you can." HIS DAUGHTER
