Grace E. Newtz, 86, of Midland, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, Aug. 4, 2004, in The Medical Center, Beaver, surrounded by her family. Born Sept. 28, 1917, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a daughter of the late Eddie and Corda Anderson Hedrick, she had been a resident of Midland since 1935 and was a member of the Midland United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement J. Newtz, on Aug. 17, 1988; three brothers; a sister, and a daughter-in-law, Julianne Newtz. Surviving are six sons and four daughters-in-law, Joseph Newtz, Industry; Richard and Kay Newtz, Lexington, Ky.; Clemand Barb Newtz, and Frederick and Betsy Newtz, all in Texas; William and Pat Newtz, Rochester, and Scott Newtz, Midland; two daughters and a son-in-law, Beth Ann Sundy, Monaca, and Roxanne and Jeff Scelp, Midland; 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
