Frances Lenora Ayres was a daughter of Thomas W. Ayres (1823-1908) and his wife Martha J. Williamson (1824-1910). She married Marshall D. Baker (1858-1940) around 1882. In 1900, they had 8 children, 8 living. The children were: Lottie E. Baker (27 Sept. 1883-30 March 1928, m. B. F. Allen), Claudius G. Baker (March 1885-?), Elsie O. Baker (May 1887), Clifton A. Baker (Feb. 1889), Mattie Alida Baker (1891-1968), Alma Osceola Baker (1893-1979), Thomas Tate Baker (1895-1911), Osborne Earl Baker (1897-1981, m. Bettie H.).
