J.R. Biffle Rites Held
Funeral services for J.R. Biffle, 57, former Carnegie business man, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 8, at the Northside Baptist church. Rev. Richard Evans, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. J.C. Crabb of Fort Cobb.
Biffle died January 5 at Southwestern Hospital, Lawton, after being critically ill the preceding five days.
Joseph Robert Biffle was born May 30, 1915 at Comanche. He and his family moved to Clinton in 1952 and then came to Carnegie in August 1958. He owned and operated an upholstery shop here 10 years before ill health forced him to retire.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Chester and Bill, both of Comanche; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Williams, Carnegie, and Mrs. Barbara Hodges of Fort Cobb; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, John Duncan, Roy Biffle and K.O. Biffle, all of Comanche; and two sisters, Faye Boone and Annie McKelvian, both of Comanche.
