Harvey Eli Bell, age 95, of Warsaw, died on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Mr. Bell was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Jerusalem Baptist Church and retired Foreman for Contel Telephone Co. Surviving is a daughter, Jane Bell Harcum (William) of Warsaw; three grandchildren, Brandon Lee Harcum, Karen Zongolowicz and William "Billy" Harcum; two great-grandchildren, Jill and Joseph Zongolowicz; sister-in-law Christine and her husband Leonard King; and his loving caregivers, Maxine Johnson, Betty Jenkins, and Mary Wilkins. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Lee Dawson Bell; his parents Benjamin Bartholomew Bell and Virginia "Jennie" Self Bell; his sisters Hilda Marie Bell Smith, and Violet Bell; and his brother Benjamin Bell, Jr. The family would like to express their appreciation to Riverside Hospice for helping them through his final days with comfort and dignity. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2009 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Emmerton, with burial following in Totuskey Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel.
