Raymond J. Drews
Raymond (Cap) J. Drews, 81, of 2000 Taft Ave., New Holstein, formerly of Kiel, died Sunday evening, October 28, 1990 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, after a brief illness.
He was born on October 5, 1909 at Kiel, son of the late Paul and Suzanna Williams Drews. He attended Kiel Schools.
On January 20, 1934, he married Norma Garb in New Holstein. They celebrated their golden a Wedding Anniversary in 1984. He was employed at Laun Furniture Company in Kiel for 43 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; two sons, Raymond Jr., Kiel; Donald (Elizabeth), Kiel; two daughters, Deloris (Merle) Kleinhaus, R.R. New Holstein; Patricia (Jerry) Sippel, Cascade; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, LeRoy Wettstein, New Holstein; Loyal Wettstein, Kiel; two half-sisters, Lucille (Clarence) Schwarz, New Holstein, Aurelia Schley, Two Rivers. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery. Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
