Harvey J. Hill, for many years making his home in Willamette, died at St. Johns Sunday, following an illness of several months.
Mr. Hill was born October 15, 1833, and came west many years ago. He engaged in farming and also in mining, and was unusally active for a man of his age.
Several children survive. His wife died a number of years ago, and also a daughter, Mrs. Batdorf.
The funeral services are to be held at the Baptist Church in this city Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. Temple Starkey, will officiate. Internment will be in the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery. The body is at the chapel of Holman & Pace.
