The funeral of James Cassidy, aged Bliss township pioneer farmer, was held from the Catholic church in Bliss township Tuesday and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Mr. Cassidy was eighty-five years old. A number of Petoskey friends attended the service. Mr. Cassidy leaves five sons and three daughters, Frank, Luke, Thomas, William and James Cassidy, all Bliss township farmers; Mrs. Oscar Smith, of Mackinaw City; Mrs. William McKensie, of Tuscola county, and Mrs. Nate Moore, who kept house for her father at the old home.
