Mrs. Mahala Moore
Special to The News: Funeral services for Mrs. Mahala (Hamon) Moore, were held Monday at Crawford Valley Church and were the most largely attended of any ever held here. Mrs. Moore and husband, John Moore, who passed away fifteen years ago, homesteaded here forty-nine years ago and were well known as kind and helpful pioneer folk. Five sons, Jess, Everett and Charley of this vicinity, James of California and John of Oakland, Neb., and two daughters, Mrs. Judson Courtnage of Albion and Mrs. Leonard Dean of Brunswick survive. She also has two sisters, Mrs. H. Williams of Colorado and Mrs. C. Doty of California and one brother, Robert Hamon.
