Cliff farmed his father's place on Davisson Road. He was an active member of Nation Chapel, and a baseball fan. He and his wife Nellie raised three sons on the farm: Floyd, Bruce and Ken. In later years he followed the family tradition of moving into Mechanicsburg after retirement.
