Edward Everett was the seventh of nine children born to Artemas Darling (1807 - 1861) and Laurinda (Taft) Darling (1802 - 1881). (See Artemas and Laurinda's memorials for names of his siblings.)
Edward was the grandson of Benson and Lois (Albee) Darling.
On Oct. 20, 1874, in Providence, Rhode Island, Edward married Lois C. Waite.
Edward and his wife and Edward's parents, are all buried in section 388 of Swan Point Cemetery. The front of the monument has Artemas and Laurinda's names on it and the back is inscribed with Edward and Lois's names.
