He was born March 20, 1931 in Bear Hollow, AR., the son of the late Vernie and Laura Kuandart.
He was of the Baptist faith and was awarded China Service, Korean, United Nations, and National Defense.
He is survived by his loving wife Frances "Fran" of 58 years, two daughters, Sheila Speir and husband Lamar of Chickasha, OK. and Scherall Piccirilli and husband Joey of Mabelvale, AR., one son, Steve Kuandart of Bonanza, AR., one sister, Janice Sanders and husband Ronnie of Pocola, OK., one brother, Johnny Kuandart of Midland, TX, nephew Randy Sanders, several nieces, nephews and friends and family friend Saundra DePew of Wichita, KS.
Funeral service was 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. with interment at The U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. with military honors.
Pallbearers were Buzzy Fisher, Terry Felder, Shawn Perkins, Charlie Perkins, Larry Kuandart and Tommy Kuandart.
Honorary pallbearers were Howard Fisher, Joe Terry and Jewel Daniels. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
