Was the son of Elisha A. and Ruby Taylor Walling. He was born and raised in Grapeland, Houston County, Texas.
He was always called George E. by my family. He was a first cousin to my mother, her sister and brothers.

George Walling Drowns April 26
George E. Walling 53, 605 Moody entered into rest Saturday,
April 26 due to a drowning accident at Lake Houston.
Survivors are his wife the former Elizabeth Uloth of Katy; daughter Belinda Wilkerson of Houston; sons Troy Glen of Houston, George R. of Cotulla; father, Elisha A. Walling of Grapeland, step-mother Mrs. Minnie Walling of Grapeland; sisters, Mrs. Callie Brown, Mrs Irene Mann, Mrs Bell Fowler of Houston, Mrs. Edward Allen of Grapeland; brothers; Grady, Carlton and J.R. Walling of Houston; three grand-children and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Tuesday in Houston with Rev. Raymond S. Kable of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was at the Veterans Cemetery where full military honors were at the graveside as he was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Walling lived in Katy for several years and was employed at Fort Bend Steak House when he married Miss Uloth.
