Stella Mae Layton
Stella Mae Layton, aged 90 of rural Yellville, died Saturday, Aug 26 in the Rogers Memorial Hospital. Mrs Layton was born March 14, 1888 in Aurora, Mo. to John and Maude Bedford Biles. She had lived in Marion County most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Yellville. Survivors include six daughter, Elizabeth Richardson and Lula Collie, both of Yakima, Washington, Maxine Williams of Ozark, Virginia Perkins of Rogers, Apella Davis of Norwalk, CA; and Stella Mae Hawes of Azusa, CA, Three sons John Layton and Lonnie Bud Layton, both of rural Yellville, and Jim Layton of Little Rock, 32 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services wer held Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 10am in the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Bowers Officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers wer Robert Hawes, Carmon Dillard, Tommy Layton, Jay King, Bud Dudley and Ron Moffet. Arrangements were under the direction of the Burns Funeral Home of Yellville.
