He was born Jan. 24, 1979, in Syracuse, to Crae Eugene Barr and Kathryn Irene Hutchison Phillips. He grew up in Syracuse, attended Syracuse High School and earned his GED in 1997. During his high school years, he lived briefly in Clifton, Idaho.
On Oct. 6, 1998, he married Jennifer Higley in Weston, Idaho, and they made their home in Syracuse.
Considered to be a professional welder by trade, Mr. Barr moved to Seattle in 2001 and worked as a welder there until returning to Syracuse in 2005. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. He also had a love for art and enjoyed drawing. He collected hunting knives and homemade knives, loved his dogs, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his parents, both of Syracuse; a daughter, Roxi Lynn Barr of Syracuse; a son, Cameron Eugene Barr of Syracuse; two sisters, Valerie Irene Griffin of Hutchinson, and Annette Marie Phillips of Syracuse; a stepbrother, Jerrin Joseph Phillips of Syracuse; and three stepsisters, Aubrie Ann Humburg of Lamar, Colo., Kanda Leigh Martinez of Booker, Texas, and Jandie Rose Palmer of Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Geraldine Louise Barr and Ruby Amelia Hutchison.
Funeral was at the Wesleyan Church in Syracuse. Burial was at Syracuse Cemetery.
