HARRISBURG — Mrs. Amy Marie Evans Mills, 94, of Harrisburg departed this life Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Jonesboro.

She was born Jan. 3, 1915, at Paris, Tenn. Amy was the daughter of Elmer and Ethel Evans.

Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Mills; her parents; two sons, Franklin and Ricky Mills; six brothers, Walter, J D, Hurly, Daniel, Ray and Grady Evans; two sisters, Oberta Smith and Mary Brumley.

She is survived by one son, Joe Mills of Weiner; six grandchildren, Michael Mills of Memphis, Marsha Bornhoft of Harrisburg, Sandra Buffalo of Greenville, N.C., Terry Mills of Valley View, Timmy Mills of Southaven, Miss., and Anita Mills; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim West will be officiating. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until service time.
