STATESBORO - Mr. Bernard Arthur Brinson, Jr., age 54, died Friday morning at his residence. The Chatham County native was a 1974 graduate of Jenkins High School and attended Savannah Vocational Technical College. Mr. Brinson lived most of his life in Savannah before moving to Statesboro 13 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Brinson Steel Detailing. He attended the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Mr. Brinson was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Arthur Brinson and Zelma Elizabeth Waters Brinson.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Sherry Neidlinger Brinson of Statesboro; a son, Christopher Brinson, two daughters, Catherine Brinson of Statesboro and Cheri Brinson Rouse of Savannah; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda and Billy Tedder and Mary Kaye Ziglar all of Savannah and two brothers-in-law, Courtney Ainsworth of Richmond Hill and Greg Ainsworth of New Canaan, Conn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Graveside services and burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bay Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvania, Georgia with Pastor Sam Clay officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 18098 Highway 67, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
