Mrs. Ben Bowermaster is Ann Marie Fairchild, born 1840 in Jefferson County, IL. Ben was her second husband, her first husband was William Bowermaster, Ben's brother. William was killed in the Civil War. Ann Marie died 5/9/1885 while in Batesville, AR. Info from Lois Bozarth, the gg granddaughter of Ann Marie.

Ann married William L. Bowermaster on Sep. 6 1857 in Jefferson Co., IL. They had 3 children,Jay, Almanza and Helen. Ann married Ben on Sep. 6, 1863 in Jefferson Co., IL. Their children were William, Charles, Anna, Elizabeth, Susan and Nora per the 1880 census. There may have been others born between 1880 and her death in 1885. The infant Bowermaster buried in the Concord Cemetery may have been Ann's child.
