He was born February 20, 1948 in Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth G. Fields and a still-born daughter, Heather. He was also preceded in death by grandparents Murl and Thelma Miller Evans and Campbell and Myrtle Hatfield Fields.
He is survived by his mother Frances A. (Tony Evans) Fields of Wheat Ridge, CO; a sister Cindy King of Golden, CO, and two sons, Douglas E. Fields of Las Vegas, NV and Gregory A. Fields, Jr. of Reno, NV. He leaves behind missing him many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Greg was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed all of God's creation. He loved driving country roads and visiting family and friends. Greg never met a stranger. He had an awesome memory of childhood events and remembered minute details from events that happened years ago.
Service will be held Wednesday, June 2, at Victoria Grace Funeral Home in Little Cincinnati, Eastern Greene County, Highway 54-Junction 45, with Pastor Kenny Walden presiding.
Burial will follow at the Fayetteville Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday with funeral service at 11.
