Narcissa was third child of Alfred and Lucinda (Harben) Grogan. On October 16, 1887 she married Herchel V. Corn, he died January 30, 1897. She married second to Samuel Washington Gilleland, son of George Washington and Sarah Ann (Brock) Gilleland on October 25, 1897; together they had eight children: Carl C., George Vernon, John Coy, Willie Mae, Sarah Estylee, Samuel Clyde, Andrew Halman, and William Hoyt. She died two months before her 80th birthday.
