Ms. Newman was a native of Augusta, having made Belvedere her home for the past 17 years. She was employed with Augusta Sportswear, as an Inventory Control Supervisor. Ms. Newman was a devoted and loving mother who volunteered her time and talents for the service of others. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. John Bevill.
Survivors include a son, Joshua Bevill, North Augusta; a daughter, Hannah Newman, North Augusta; her mother, Brenda Bevill, North Augusta; a sister, Janice Chavez; a niece, Breanna Chavez; a nephew, Jonathan Bowers; her long-time companion, Trever Scoggins; several loving extended family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening from 4 until 6.
