Mark A. Haas, 31, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 24, 2005 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Friday evening.
He was born June 28, 1974 in Sheboygan, son of Delbert and Debra Meyer Haas.
Mark was a 1994 graduate of Howards Grove High School continued his education at LTC, receiving an associate's degree in applied science in 1996.
He had previously worked at the Log Cabin in Howards Grove and Curt Joa in Sheboygan Falls for a number of years and was currently employed at Georgia Pacific in Sheboygan since December 2002.
Mark was a member of St. John's UCC, Schwarzwald and the MOAHVC ATV Club.
He enjoyed participating in Ford Mustang events, ATVs, radio control racing, archery, bow hunting and cars in general.
Survivors include his parents, Del and Debbie Haas of rural Elkhart Lake; one sister, Melissa Haas of rural Elkhart Lake; Mark's extended family, Gail and Ron Steidl and their children, Tim, James, Kelly and Tammy, Lynn and Dave Seitenzhal and daughter, Stacy; paternal grandmother, Lucy Haas, Cadott; and maternal grandmother, Elvera Meyer of Chilton. He is further survived by uncles and aunts, Lillie and Rodney Rabe, Jerome Meyer, Lee and Janet Meyer, Karen and Ron Detiege, Vernon and Corinne Haas, Earl and Lisa Haas and Norbert Haas; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Haas; maternal grandfather, Alfred Meyer; and his uncle, James Meyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at St. John's UCC, W3401 Orchard Road, Elkhart Lake, with the Rev. Rebecca Johnston officiating.
Burial will take place in Schleswig Cemetery in Rockville.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 Sixth St., Kiel, on Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial has been established in his name.
Mark's family would like to thank the staff and doctors, especially Dr. William Gallen, Dr. Peter Frommelt and his special nurse, Jane Sowinski at Children's Hospital in Wauwatosa and all caregivers during his life.
Mark's family has generously donated his organs so others may live.
