According to the 1880 census, Jacob and Anna were living in Franklin, Co., Tx., with children: Young E, 12; Isaac L.B., 9; Leona B., 6; Maverva, 4; and Jacob G, 8 months. Also in the household were a niece, Helena G., 16 and Anna's brother James C. Mathews.
