Mrs. Elna Rayburn, about 73, former Newton resident and widow of Dr. James Rayburn, died Tuesday in Pasadena, Calif., according to word received here.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning in the Glendale Bible Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Rayburn,s body will arrive in Newton Sunday evening and services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Greenwood Abbey. The Rev. Floyd E. Kaiser will officiate. Draper,s Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

A pioneer Kansan, Mrs. Rayburn, whose maiden name was Elna Beck, was married Aug. 6, 1918 in Winfield. Her late husband, whose death occurred Nov. 1, 1952, was a Presbyterian minister and evangelist. The family home was in Newton for many years.

Survivors include four sons, The Rev. James Jr., of Colorado Springs, Paul of Portland, Ore., Dr. Robert G. is president of Highland College in Pasadena, and Frank of Kansas City, Mo., and several grandchilden.

The family request no flowers, if you desire, gifts may be sent to highland College in Pasadena, where Mrs. Rayburn had served as a house mother for the past one and a half years.
