Willard Barker, 84, Broadview, died in a Billings hospital Wednesday of a liver ailment. He was a retired carpenter and had made his home at Broadview with his son, Joseph Barker, since 1928.
Mr. Barker was born Mar. 17, 1865, at Horicon, Wis., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Barker. At the age of 12 he moved with his parents to Canada. They lived there for about four years and in 1880 they moved to the Dakota territory.
In 1890 Mr. Barker married Ella Noyes at Lake Preston, S.D. She died in 1921 in Lemon, S.D.
Surviving are his son, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Jane Atwood, of Irwin.
Funeral services at Broadview gymnasium. Burial at Lavina cemetery beside a brother.
