Death Doings
"The funeral services of William Hockett, at progressive Friend church last Sunday, were largely attended, and were conducted by Wm. G. Johnson."
William Hockett (53012318)

DEATHS.
HOCKETT.--Second month 21, 1880, William Hockett, aged 62 years 10 months 23 days, a member of Plainfield Monthly Meeting, Indiana.
The deceased was born near Martinsville, Clinton County, Ohio. He was a bright example of diligence and uprightness in business, and a cheerful Christian in all the walks of life. Although his last sickness was attended with severe pain at times, yet in the midst of the most excruciating suffering he would praise and bless the name of the Lord, and exhort those around him to praise the Lord for his mercy. He frequently remarked how wonderfully the dear Lord had blessed him. We are now comforted in believing he is safe at home.
