As The Leader is about to go to press we learn of the death of Mr. Bob Loyed, local carpenter. MR. Loyeds' death Thursday afternoon, resulted from an attack of flu followed by pneumonia. Funeral services are announced to take place this (Friday) afternoon from Hartman's Funeral Home at 4 o'clock.

Death of Mr. R. J. Loyed
Obsequies for Mr. R. J. Loyed who succumbed Thursday evening at his home here, following an attack of flu and pneumonia were held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock from Hartman's Funeral Home, Rev. O. S. Lewis, pastor of the Methodist church, of which Mr. Loyed was a member, officiating in the presence of a large gathering of friends.
Mr. Loyed was a carpenter by trade and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. His untimely death at the age of 54, has brought sorrow to his many friends and loved ones.
Surviving Mr. Loyed are his wife, three daughters, Misses Dorothy and Lois Loyed of Brookhaven, and Mrs. James D. Miller of Yazoo City; a son Jack Loyed of Brookhaven. Four brothers and two sisters also survive, D. L. Loyed of Wesson; C. L. Loyed of Chicago; J. L. Loyed of Los Angeles W. L Loyed of Mangum, La., Mrs. Maggie Turner of Lakewood, Fla., and Mrs. Maude Obita of Los Angeles.
Interment was made in Rosehill cemetery.
