Glenn M. Bare, 87, 107 W. Fourth Street, died at 11:35 a.m. Friday at Wyandot Mem. Hosp., Upper Sandusky. He had been in failing health six months and seriously ill two weeks.
A lifetime resident of this area, Mr. Bare was born in Wyandot County on April 13, 1896 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Myron M. (Cora Belle GREEN) Bare.
He owned Bare's Hatchery here for 55 years before retiring. He was a member of the Upper Sandusky Fraternal Order of Eagles 2184 and the Mohawk 60 Plus Club.
His first marriage on Feb. 19, 1918 was to Winnie Ankney. He married Stata Risley Gillis, who survives, on Feb. 7, 1948.
Also surviving are a son, Noble Daniel, Bucyrus; a stepdaughter, Mrs. George (Pauline) Fadley, Sycamore; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Ekleberry, Upper Sandusky; a grandchild; two step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Orion Aubihl will conduct the service at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mexico Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot Memorial Hospital coronary care unit.
