NORTH OGDEN - Mrs. Harriet Lydia Brown Berrett, 79 of 2350 N. 600 E., died Thursday morning at her home of a heart ailment. Mrs. Berrett was born April 11, 1884 in North Ogden, a daughter of Thomas and Eliza Brown Brown. On May 7, 1902, she was married to Thomas Francis Berrett in the Salt Lake Temple. He died April 15, 1957, in North Ogden.
She had been a resident of North Ogden all her life and was a member Of the Second Ward. She had been Sunday School secretary, Relief Society president and visiting teacher and a member of the religion class presidency, Primary presidency and Relief Society presidency for the old North Ogden ward. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, camp 32.
Surviving are four sons, Donald T. Berrett, Grant E. Berrett, both of North Ogden; Maurice A. Berrett, Taylor; Mark R. Berrett, Saginaw, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. James (Norma) Garner, Wilson; Mrs. Henry (Myrtle) Maathuis, Ogden; Mrs. Gerald A. (Doris) Wright, Poulsbo, Wash; 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one brother, Nephi J. Brown, Ogden; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Ellen) Berrett, North Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the North Ogden Second Ward with Bishop Floyd J. Woodfield officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist and Sons Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel Monday from 11:30 a.m. until services. Interment in North Ogden Cemetery.
