Ignacita "Inez" Martinez, 76, of Cheyenne died June 26 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born May 29, 1928, in San Luis, Colo., and had lived here since 1977.

Mrs. Martinez was head housekeeper at Holdings Little America for 25 years, retiring 14 years ago.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by three sons, Gilbert Martinez and Dick Martinez, both of Cheyenne, and Joe R. Martinez of Texas; two daughters, Marvine Martinez and Lora Hernandez, both of Cheyenne; four brothers, Ralph Maeastas, Paul Maeastas and Phil Maeastas, all of San Luis, and Rueben Maeastas of Montrose, Colo.; five sisters, Mercy Martinez, Rose Gallegoes and Leva Gonzales, all of Denver, Lydia Taylor of San Luis and Lita Martinez of Pueblo, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufino Martinez in 1977; a son, John Martinez; her parents, Juan and Evarista Maeastas; two brothers, Adam Maeastas and Lazarza Maeastas; and two sisters, Dorothy Martinez and Maclovia Archuleta.
