James Agee Smith, son of George Thomas & Leah Agee Smith, married Margaret Love 24 May 1810 in Smith County Tennessee.

DIED.

At Pahreah, December 20, 1875, of epilepsy and old age, JAMES AGEE SMITH. Deceased was born in Sullivan county, Tennessee, Dec 6, 1787; was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1841, in Gibson county, Tenn.; gathered to Nauvoo in 1842; left there with the Church; emigrated to these valleys in 1849; was one of the first settlers at Provo; was one of the High Council at that place for several years; sold out there about the time of the move south; he shorty after became deceased; lived in Washington most of the time since then; he lived and died in full faith of a glorious resurrection and without a murmur.
