Funeral Tuesday for Mrs. Battle
Services for Mrs. Chrystal* Shepherd Battle, 21, of 3501 Twenty-seventh st. will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Battle died Thursday in University Hospitals, Iowa City, of complications after heart surgery. She had been ill two years.
She was a lifelong Des Moines resident and a student at the Crescent School of Beauty Culture. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
