Otis W. Adcock of Monroe died March 14 at the Walton Medical Center. He was 60.

A native and life-long resident of Walton County, he was the son of the late Walter Adcock and Madeline LeSeur Adcock. He attended Walton County schools and was a graduate of Southern Tech. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member and deacon of Harmony Baptist Church. He had served in the U S Navy.

Funeral services were held March 15 in Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Brett nd Rev. Don Malcom officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were C. A. Malcom, Larry Adams, Ronnie Radford, Price Andrews, Clark Runion, Bob Adams, Ronald Collins and Gene Gouge. Great nephews served as honorary escort.

He is survived by his widow Morritt A. Adcock, three sisters, Mrs. Rufus (Lois) Brown, Mrs. Jay (Elizabeth) Walton and Mrs. Lamar (Agnes) Hester all of Monroe, a sister-in-law Minelle Adcock of Monroe, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his only brother Hoyt Adcock.
