Mrs. Harriet M. Miller, age 87, of Landenberg, PA, died on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Linden Hall in Kennett Square, PA.
Born in Heuvelton, NY on June 8, 1922, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late John E. DeLair and Mary Parrish DeLair. She was a talented homemaker throughout her life and delighted in caring for and spending time with her beloved family. In her leisure hours, she greatly enjoyed scrapbooking, watching favorite game shows and stock car racing, and solving challenging crossword puzzles. She also astounded everyone with her tremendous good luck in winning with scratch-off lottery tickets.
Her beloved husband of 66 years, Quinton J. Miller, died in 2007. She is survived by her children, Janet Graham (Richard) of Landenberg, PA; Kenneth Miller of Suffern, NY; David Miller (Pamela) of Schenectady, NY; and John Miller (Karen) of Albany, NY; grandchildren, Brian Graham (Colleen), Steven Graham (Chrystal), Jennifer Muzzi (Christopher), Danielle Winne, Christopher Miller, and Kenneth Miller, Jr.; and great grandchildren; Michael, Shelby, Ashley, Ryan, Connor, and Spencer Graham and DeLaira Muzzi.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, on Tuesday, June 1, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends Home/Linden Hall, 147 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348; or to Willow Tree Hospice, 100 Sycamore Drive, West Grove, PA 19390.
