Ralph married Lena Emelia Carlsrude nee Max on 28 October 1943 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. after Lena died, he married Elizabeth Burlison on 15 August 1980 in Roberts County, South Dakota.

Ralph W. Bullene, 71, rural Tintah died Monday, March 2, 1992 at his residence. The funeral service will be Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, Breckenridge, Minn., with the Rev. Mike Gustafson officiating. Interment will be in Bureau Cemetery near Foxhome.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8:30 p.m. with a 7:40 p.m. prayer service at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation at the church on Friday.

He was born Jan. 20, 1921, to Wallace J. and Louise (Oberdick) Bullene at Callaway, Minn. He attended school at Pelican Hapids as a child and then later moved to Battle Lake, Minn., where he graduated from high school. He then worked at various jobs in the Battle Lake area.

On Oct. 28, 1943, he married Lena Max at Fergus Falls, Minn. They made their home in the Rothsay, Minn. area, where they farmed. Lena preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 1972. He Mr. continued to live in the Rothsay area and began working at Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative in 1976 as a security guard.

On Aug. 15, 1980, he married Elizabeth Burlison in South Dakota. In 1982, they moved to their farm near Fairmount, N.D. Ralph loved animals and enjoyed working on his shop on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, rural Tintah, his daughter, Marlene Dow, Breckenridge; two grandsons, Lee and his wife Laurie, Sabin; and Mitch, Breckenridge; his great-granddaughter, Shani; three brothers, Gordon, Akron, Ohio; Floyd, Fargo; Roger, Mayville; three sisters, Freida Larson, Milwaukee, Wis.; Vivian (Mrs. Ervin) Sabbe, Breckenridge, Lucille (Mrs. Clayton) Pederson, Battle Lake, Minn. two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.
