Born in Wyoming, he was the son of the late George E. and Helen Steve Fetch. He lived in Wyoming most of his life, moving to Huntington Mills in 1968.
He graduated from Wyoming High School in 1944 and from Wilkes College in 1967.
Mr. Fetch was associated with his father in Fetch's food store for many years and later was a teacher for the Northwest Area School District, where he served as the head of the mathematics department before retirement in 1985.
Mr. Fetch was a member of St. Martha's Church, Stillwater; a former member of the Rotary Club of Wyoming, and past president of Northwest Area Education Association. He also served on the board of directors of the First National Bank of Wyoming for the past 24 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Peard; children, Mrs. Eileen F. Pollock, Dallas; Helen C., Huntington Mills; George E. III, Huntington Mills; brother, David R., Wyoming; sister, Mrs. Janet Clarke, Shrewsbury, N.J.; three grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be Saturday morning at the convenience of the family with a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St Martha's Church, Stillwater.
Interment will be in Scott Cemetery, Waterton.
There will be no calling hours.
