Mr. Davison was seized with the malady on Friday afternoon of last week, the attack affecting the entire left side and reducing the victim to a semi-conscious state, in which he remained until death.
Mr. Davison was born in Plum township, Venango county, September 24, 1831, on a farm, an occupation he followed his entire life. Forty years ago he was married to Mrs. Jane Borger, who survives him, together with the following children: John Davison, whose home is in McKean county, near Kane, Pa.; Lew M. Davison, Oil City; Mrs. H.B. Brown and Ms. W.S. Davison, Rocky Grove; A.D. Davison, Fostoria, O.; Mrs. Hile Russell and Frank Davison of Plum township; he also leaves one brother, J.F. Davison of Plum township and four sisters, Mrs. Robert Battin, Chapmanville; Mrs. Samuel Williams, Plum township; Mrs. Mandy Sholtz of Erie county; Mrs. John Zeigler of Warren, O.
The deceased, who was a man of high character, has been a member of the Sunville Presbyterian church since early manhood.
The funeral will be in the church at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Parker.
