David L Whitted Dies in Okolona
Services for David Lawson Whitted, 74, who died at his home in Okolona Sunday after a short illness, were held Monday afternoon from Macedonia Church. The Rev. Clayton Criddle officiated.
Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery, with Kilgore-Norman Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Whitted was born in Tennessee February 17 1880, but had made this county his home for 45 years, where he had farming interests. He was a member of the Church of God.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Minnie Huffman Whitted of Okolona; one daughter, Mrs. Tommie Johns of Okolona, and one brother, Bratford Whitted of Galveston, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were T L Johns, Jr., Jess Williams, Loyd Williams, Roy Williams, Robert Atkinson and Richard Randall.
