John was born May 18, 1927 in Wichita Falls, the son of Alois and Louise (Willenborg) Rauschhuber. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Wichita Falls. John was united in marriage on March 5, 1957 to Bertha Mach in Elk. Bertha preceded him in death on October 5, 1992. John was a faithful member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours where he served as an Usher, President of St. Martin Parish Council and Eucharistic Minister. He also served as President of Hilltop Water and was a regular blood donor for Red Cross. In the early 1950's, John and his brother Raymond traveled throughout the southern part of the United States picking cotton with one of the first commercial mechanical cotton pickers. In the early 1960's, John established and owned Rauschhuber T. V. and Appliance serving his customers with pride for 31 years. John was always one of the top ten dealers achieving many G.E. Sales Awards thus enabling him to travel the world with his wife, Bertha. He also owned Rauschhuber's True Value Hardware in Mart for 15 years. After his retirement, he converted his T.V. shop into a domino hall playing dominoes with his friends. John enjoyed playing cards with his family and on his computer, woodworking, and math puzzles. He loved traveling and spending time with his family. John also traveled numerous times with Father Isidore to Vegas and Elkhart.
