Mr. Lofton, 75, died Jan. 14, 1998, at his residence. He was born in Franklin County on Dec. 18, 1922, to Irvin Lofton and Janie Warnack Lofton.
He was a self-employed electrician and was the owner of Lofton Electrical. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his daughter, Peggy Louise Lofton.
Survivors are his wife, Ida Mae Lofton of Brookhaven; his daughters, Frances Ann Martin of Wesson and Barbara Jean Lofton of McComb; his sister, Reba Patterson of Wesson; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
