Carl R. Connelly, 85 of Grayson, KY, went to be with our Lord Wednesday Morning May 26, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. He was born May 14, 1925 in Carter County, a son of the late Royal and Verna Connelly. Carl was a retired employee of the Tennessee Gas Company where he worked for 33 years. He was a member of Kings Addition Missionary Baptist Church for over 25 years, where he served as Deacon for over 14 years and more recently he served as member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Laurel, Kentucky, in addition he also served as missionary to people who were seeking alternative medical care in Mexico for over 5 years.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Mowery and Orlene Jordan.


Carl is survived survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Everman Connelly; one brother, Edmond Connelly; one sister, Donna Stephens; four daughters, Laura Faye Boswell, Carlene Sue Riner, Verna Connelly, and Vickie Hisman; twelve grandchildren, Christina Ketner, Corina Campbell, Jonathan McDowell, Brian McDowell, Carrie Dawn Murrell, Jeremy Zamarron, Nathan Zamarron, Rebecca Argueta, Elizabeth Hoermann, Jonathan Riner, Anna Riner and Christian Hisman; sixteen great grandchildren, Donald Thomas, Leatisha Pogioli, Dillion Wilhere, Kimberly McDowell, Ashleigh McDowell, Emilee McDowell, Brian McDowell JR, Reianna Hoermann, Aiden Wilhere, Lilly Ruth Argueta, Ethan McDowell, Aislynn McDowell, Elijah Zamarron, Lauren Wilhere, Carter and Chloe Zamarron and one great-great-grandson, Max Pogioli.


He will be sadly missed by many friends and family of which he influenced greatly through his faith. His legacy will be lived out through his children and grandchildren as he regarded them all as a heritage of the LORD.


Services will be conducted 4:00 PM Saturday May 29, 2010 at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Elder James Hobbs. Burial will follow in the Everman Cemetery.
