Rafael Lorenzo Gallegos, affectionately known as "Diddy," "Tata" and "Papa," 71, of Pueblo, formerly of San Rafael, Colo., went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Gallegos; and uncles, Jose and Juan Gallegos. Rafael is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jean Gallegos; children, Rachel Gallegos, Rebecca Gallegos, Jeremy (Monique) Gallegos and Raquel Gallegos; his mother, Eufrasia "Grace" Gallegos; in-laws, Frank and Inez Vigil; grandchildren, Shonte (Alex), Frank (Danelle), Santana and Chanel; great- grandchildren, Yesenia and Leonidus; siblings, Crestino (Filomena) Gallegos of Gilbert, Ariz., and Glenna (Glen) Armstrong of Pueblo, Colo.; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. At Rafael's request, there is no public viewing. Rosary service, 6 p.m. Thursday, Romero Chapel. Funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at Romero Courtesy Hall following both services. In lieu of food and flowers, a medical account is available at Ent Federal Credit Union. Full military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
