Bernice Ivers, 63, Mercer Island, WA and formerly of Edinburg, ND, died June 12, 1994, in Overlake Hospital, Bellevue, WA.
Bernice Olive Benjaminson was born July 26, 1930, in Gardar Township, Pembina County, North Dakota, the daughter of Gudmundur and Gudrun Benjaminson. She graduated from high school in Edinburg and trained as a nurse at Grand Forks, ND, Deaconess Hospital. She was a nurse, real estate broker and worked in the mortgage industry, most recently with Trans Coastal Mortgage.
She is survived by son, Dan F. Koukol, Orangevale, CA and daughter, Michelle Akers, Tacoma, WA; three grandchildren; brothers, George Benjaminson, Bothell, WA and Paul Benjaminson, Grafton, ND; and sister, Marjorie Mohagen, Grafton, ND.
Memorial service: Monday, August 15, 1994, in Tollefson Funeral Chapel, Edinburg, ND.
Burial: Thingvalla Lutheran Cemetery, rural Mountain, ND.
