"Paul Strecker
Hoisington - Paul Strecker, 73, died Monday at Central KS Medical Center. Born Aug. 23, 1909, he was a resident of rural Hoisington. He married Hermine Anna Hoffman May 20, 1937, in Great Bend. She preceded him in death, April 29 1980. He was a retired farmer-stockman.
Strecker was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Roscoe (Barbara) Merry of Dubois, Wyo.; Mrs. Steve (Melba) Haines of Great Bend and Mrs. Alan (Karen) Maier of Otis; three brothers, Alexander of Roswell, N.M., Jacob of Salina and Ferd of Lakewood, Colo,; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Newacheck of Russell, Mrs. Amelia Tittel of Great Bend and Mrs. Paulene Miller of Wichita; and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia with the Rev. Robert S. Kreier officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Galatia. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington and from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or St. Paul's church."

Son of George Strecker, Sr. and Katherine E(lizabeth) Dumler, was born in Russell Co., KS, August 23, 1909.
Paul was baptized in the Lutheran Faith on October 17, 1909 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger, KS, and confirmed on April 1, 1924 in the St. John Lutheran Church at Russell, KS. Paul was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Galatia, Ks. for many years.
On May 20, 1937, Paul was united in marriage to Hermine Anna Hoffman at Great Bend, KS. This marriage was blessed with three daughters.
Paul and his family lived in Galatia community since 1937 where he engaged in farming and raising cattle. Mr. Strecker passed away Monday, February 14, 1983 at the Central KS Medical Center, Great Bend, KS at the age of 73 years 5 months and 12 days.
Paul is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Roscoe (Barbara) Merry, Dubois, Wyo., Mrs. Steve (Melba) Haines, Great Bend, KS and Mrs. Alan (Karen) Maier of Otis, KS. Three brothers, Alexander of Roswell, N. M., Jacob, of Salina, Ks., and Ferd of Lakewood, Colo. Three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Newacheck of Russell, Mrs. Amelia Tittel of Great Bend, and Pauline Miller of Wichita, Ks. six grandchildren: Lynette, John, James, Brian, Timothy and Eric.
