As a young girl she moved with her family to Plymouth County, Iowa and grow up in Reading, Plymouth and Merrill.
She married Charles Warren Cummickel on October 23, 1893 in Plymouth County, Iowa. They remained in Plymouth County until the family moved to a farm in Anderson County, Kansas in 1900. Olive then lived in Topeka for 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Olive and Charles had eight children: Olive Ruth, William Henry, Clarence Lester, Cloie Eugenia, Charles Edward, Laura (Lollie) M, Arthur Walter and Chester Orval.
She was preceeded in death by her husband and three of her four sons.
Services were held at Penwell-Gabel funeral home and burial followed in Topeka Cemetery.
