Shane George Buriff, 24, of Lutz, FL was a son of Brent and Debi Buriff. He attended Sickles High School, Polk Community College and St. Leo University. Shane was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization in June of 2008, where he was assigned to the Bristol White Sox rookie level club. He was a resident of Lutz, Florida for 14 years and employed by Florida Rock and Tank Lines as a dispatcher for 1 year. Shane enjoyed living life to its fullest, playing softball, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Shane will be remembered by his parents, Brent & Debi, sister Michelle(Greg) Howell; brother Jeffrey Buriff, sister-in-law Dana Maretta; sister Tricia Buriff; nephews Connor Howell, JJ Buriff and Christian Buriff, nieces, and numerous family members.
Predeceased in death by maternal grandfather Frank Arata Sr and Aunt Tena Arata.

He was born May 22, 1986, in Holly-wood, Fla., to Brent and Debi Buriff. He attended Sickles High School, Polk Community College and St. Leo University. Shane will be remembered by his loving parents, Brent and Debi; sister, Michelle Howell; brother-in-law, Greg Howell; brother, Jeffrey; sister-in-law, Dana Maretta; sister, Tricia Buriff; nephews, Connor Howell, JJ Buriff and Christian Buriff; nieces, Autumn Buriff and Addison Howell; aunts and uncles, Frank Arata Jr., Linda Arata, Barbara and Paul Gordon, James and Beverly Devine, and Brad and Carolyn Buriff; cousins, Ashlee and Frank Arata III, Nick, Danielle and Joseph Devine and Dylan Gordon; paternal grandparents, George and Ruth Buriff; and maternal grandmother, Dolores Arata. He was predeceased by his maternal grand-father, Frank Arata Sr., and his aunt, Tena Arata. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m., Thursday at Grace Family Church, 5105 Van Dyke Road, Lutz, Fla., with a visitation from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcomed, or donations can be made to Northside Little League in Shane' s memory, 2650 N.
