Ken was born in Buffalo, New York. When he was five years old the family moved to a country home south of Oneida, where he loved helping on farms in the new neighborhood. He graduated from Stockbridge Valley Central School in Munnsville, and went on to graduate from Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College (SUNY) in Morrisville, NY. He was employed with the US Department of Agriculture when he was drafted in 1968.

After his initial training Ken was reassigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Div., 7th Cavalry near Tay Ninh, Vietnam in May 1969. He was killed in a mine explosion as his recon patrol was returning to their base. He is sorely missed by all who knew him.
