Services held Tuesday for Mrs. Brinson

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Lola Brinson, 79, who died early Monday at the Jefferson Davis County Hospital. Rev. Charlie Reid, Rev. James Turnage, and Rev. W. D. Pigott officiated and interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Paul Loftin, Clyde Thurman, V. L. Terrell, Noel Dewitt, Ernest Sinclair, and Ray Garner.

Mrs. Brinson was a longtime resident of the Mt. Zion Community where she was an active member of the Methodist Church. For the past few months she had resided in Prentiss with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mavis Brinson.

Survivors include three sons, Terrell Brinson of Rome, Ga.; W. C. Brinson of Columbus; Cecil Brinson of Clinton; two daughters, Mrs. V. T. Thurman of Prentiss; Mrs. Bill Hartley of State Line, two brothers, Reed Turnage of Mt. Olive; Ethel Turnage of Collins; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Klassen of Collins; Mrs. Nettie Davis of Jackson; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
