Pvt. George Adams was one of the men of the 27th Missouri Mounted Infantry, as was his uncle Pvt. George Adams, brother to Abraham.

He was a POW at the first battle of Lexington, Missouri with the 27th, and was also killed in action while serving with the 7th Missouri State Militia Cavalry.

His military death certificate is attached.
