Buddemeyer Dies Sunday. Was found dead in pasture at home Sunday afternoon.
R.C.Buddemeyer, about 69 years old, was found dead in the pasture at his home about eight miles southwest of town late Sunday afternoon. Death came suddenly to the stricken man while doing the chores at the close of the day.
Funeral services were held at the family home Wednesday afternoon, after which the body was taken to columbia and interment made in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deceased, whose full given name was Rudolph Christian was born in Gasconade County, Missouri, September 15, 1859. At an early age he moved near Columbia and continued his residence there until 1919 when he moved to the farm on which he died.
Mr. Buddemeyer was well and favorable known by many of our citizens where he and members of his family do considerable trading. He was a kind Christian gentleman and believed in giving his children educational advantages. He was a good husband, a kind father and a fine neighbor
He is survived by his widow and nine children as follows: Ella Budlemeyer, of Fargo, N.D.; Lillian Beddemeyer of Wichita, Kansas; Nellie Buddemeyer of Warrensburg; Mrs. H.F.Glover of Lincoln, Nev.; Mont and Fred Buddemeyer of Bailies, Ill.; Ruby and Robert Buddemeyer of the home. He also leaves four sisters, two brothers and many relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
